Our Team

Colt Metz is a Co-Founder of CMI of Texas. He was originally born in Conroe, TX and grew up a few miles north in Huntsville, TX. Colt began his college career at an early age and later became an SHSU Alumni at the age of 20. He provides executive leadership to CMI of Texas ensuring the vision is clearly defined, monitored, and executed. His passion for insurance was granted at birth being a third generation insurance professional. He held several leadership roles in various organizations prior to founding CMI of Texas. He leads with the core values of Our Trusted Compass and works hard to ensure the CMI of Texas family is protected! In addition to his time spent at CMI of Texas, Colt also has a passion for writing, speaking, and serving in ministry. His hobbies include: writing, reading, fish keeping, and racing motorsports.

Candace is a Co-Founder of CMI of Texas and also serves as the Vice President. She was originally born in Beaumont, TX. She later grew up in Lufkin, TX where she graduated from High School. Candace has been in the insurance industry from birth being a second generation insurance professional. She has over 37 years of professional insurance experience. She brings excellent leadership and management experience to our team. Candace received her LUTCF certification in the early part of the century and has professionally trained over 100 insurance agents in the State of Texas. She has been recognized for developing service platforms handling thousands of clients simultaneously. Her product knowledge across multiple lines is unprecedented. Candace enjoys scrapbooking & crafting in her leisure.
